Wohooooooo. the CrossFit Kids lesson in da box :)

I had no time to write about our kids program the last weeks… It was hard to keep my blog updated with all the wods and work anyway. But last week Friday we had the first kids class at CrossFit Icke. The Berlin Rugby under 10 years kids have a 45 minute class every Friday as part of their training. I go support from their coach, one of our coaches and two dads were there as well.
The boys were quite excited and motivated. They listened to our explanations and gave their best. One of the boys told me after I explained the sructure of the lesson and told them the highlight will be the game at the end: “No, actually for me the highlight is the WOD!” Haha, a little CrossFitter already…
After the warm up We introduced the airsquat, did some Tabata work with it. The workout itself was a bit of everything:

AMRAP 5
3 ring rows
5 squats
7 burpees

It was so much fun to watch them. They all tried to give their best, listened to our tips and advice and did an awesome job. Afterwards we played Musical Med Ball, little competitors, all wanted to win… 🙂

I am so looking forward to the next session on Friday, all about the Frontsquat…
