Finally back to my Monday routine, three classes in a row felt good. The bodyweight wod was fun, my wall balls still suck, I always tell myself to practice them more often but of course, no time at all, al toes to bar were unbroken, the hspu I did on an ab mat with plates which makes it more harder because you go deeper than with a normal mat, what it makes it more to a deficit haspu, good to practice.

I am not very happy with my snatch progress, wait…., what progress?!? I am stuck with my weight, it even feels harder and less consistent, I know it is all in my head and I also really struggle with the technique, it sucks…

Today I did a little more than expected and it was awesome… 😉

Before class
back squat 6×2 85kg
It is so weird, I don’t think my squat is getting better anymore. For almost a year now I feel like I am doing the same weights and it still feels heavy. As soon as I stop squatting for a couple of days or squat less I feel it. It is annoying… I will start a new cycle after Christmas to see it it will give me some more strengths… The same with my deadlift, I feel it got worse…

Still testing… I did one set of a heavy deadlift, 115kg, 10kg away from my PR but it felt so heavy. 😦 I hope, it is just because of my foot injury. I also deadlift less than before. My focus is more on weightlifting and gymnastics…

Training & Heavy Metcon

I started the hatch cycle for my bench and strict press again because I feel I have to work on them, otherwise I will get weaker immediately in this areas. Today was week two, day one. It felt good. Furthermore I still kinda use the misfits back squat cycle, even with my own timing: Build up to one heavy rep around 90% and then 5×3 with one weight. Today it was 1x95kg and 5×3 87,5 kg. I feel more comfortable now squatting heavier sets. Next week I’ll probably repeat the same sets again.

I tried to do misfits snatch program but it was shit.

Test week part 2, this week lifts and co will be tested. It makes no sense for me, I am pretty sure it did not change that much, so I will mostly work on my own stuff.

Back in the box, Wednesday 18/5/16

We came back to Berlin on Wednesday in the afternoon. I spent a couple of hours with my parents before I headed to the box and did one weightlifting class and the regular wod (late class – 9pm)…

It was the first time after a couple of months I went to weightlifting because the time is a little bit difficult for me, I normally train at 5pm on these days and have to wait too long afterwards, a bit pity…

We worked on my “favourite” movement: the snatch. Well, what should I say, I am still bad at it… 😉 In comparing to all the other stuff I am soooooooo far behind with the snatch. I still just do not get it.

I am already thinking what to expect, I looked online, checked the movements we have already done and wods from the last years.
I think it could be one from 2014 when I qualified for the Asian Regionals, heavy deadlift ladder and box jumps/step ups, not my best one…
It would be interesting to see how it would have changed from two years ago but it would be bad for my leaderboard ranking because in comparing to other (bigger)girls I am not very strong… :/
It also could be sth. with wall balls, a chipper…, mmh, Castro’s instagram post is not really helpful:

Well right now I am not the biggest fan of testing my progress and going up to 1 RMs. Okay, I never like it… But during the open, well…, even worse 😀 I am also not seeing a lot of progress with my lifts and weights right now, I’ll test some but not all of the days. So I was pretty happy I could join the bodyweight class instead of the wod, it was a nice sweaty workout… 🙂
